The program requires a minimum of 13 courses: four core courses, four concentration courses, two elective courses, three practicum courses, together with undergraduate prerequisite courses required for students without appropriate academic backgrounds. Students are also required to register for NUTR 930 Nutrition in the School Environment, in the summer preceding the School Nutrition Practicum. Registration fee applies.
Students who provide a current ACEND Verification Form indicating completion of the Didactic Program in Dietetics may have some core and/or concentration courses waived. Students are required to select additional graduate elective courses for a total of fifteen (15) to replace any waived courses. A comprehensive examination is required as the student’s culminating experience.
Elective courses will not be offered each semester and may not be offered every year. Elective courses require written approval from the student’s advisor.
The program requires 10 courses: three core courses, one concentration courses, two elective courses, and three practicum courses. It can be completed in five years and includes coursework in the summer following completion of the Bachelor degree. Registration fee applies.
An oral comprehensive examination is required as the student’s culminating experience. A laptop computer with Windows operating system is required. Framingham State University offers a purchase program.
NUTR 981 Practicum in Clinical Dietetics (2 course-credits)

CHEM 821 Instrumental Analysis with Lab (an elective may be substituted with approval of the program advisor)
An 800- or 900-level graduate elective course must be approved, in writing, by the student’s advisor.
